Salesforce Inc., Nike share losses contribute to Dow's nearly 50-point drop

Shares of Salesforce Inc. and Nike are trading lower Wednesday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, -0.15% was most recently trading 41 points, or 0.1%, lower, as shares of Salesforce Inc. CRM, -1.55% and Nike NKE, -1.66% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Salesforce Inc.’s shares are off $3.10, or 1.7%, while those of Nike are down $1.94, or 1.6%, combining for a roughly 33-point drag on the Dow. Microsoft MSFT, -1.56%, Visa V, -1.31%, and UnitedHealth UNH, -1.01% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
