American Express, McDonald's share losses contribute to Dow's nearly 200-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Monday afternoon with shares of American Express and McDonald’s seeing the biggest losses for the index. Shares of American Express AXP, -3.23% and McDonald’s MCD, -2.07% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.58% was most recently trading 197 points, or 0.6%, lower. American Express’s shares are down $5.22, or 3.0%, while those of McDonald’s have declined $5.81, or 2.3%, combining for a roughly 73-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Coca-Cola KO, -1.91%, Visa V, -2.08%, and Boeing BA, -2.52%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
